About the Program: Whether we know it or not, or like it or not, we all have digital assets. What is more, we probably have just as good an idea of what's going to happen with those assets after our death as we have of what is the password for the particular account. As the use of digital assets proliferate, the integration of digital assets planning into our professional services has become critical. Not only are there a myriad of practical difficulties to overcome, we as advisors must help our clients navigate federal laws and tech companies' terms of service that in many cases prohibit the use of other persons' online accounts. Maryland has enacted laws to assist fiduciaries overcome these obstacles, but in many cases they are insufficient.

At the same time, this minefield need not be calamitous. Join us on February 12th for an enlightening presentation and discussion around the relevant laws, mechanisms, and estate planning best practices in this area to equip you with the tools and insights you need to effectively navigate the treacherous terrain of digital assets and estate planning.

About the Speaker: Cory Larkin runs a vigorous trusts and estates practice serving clients primarily in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. He has been studying and speaking on digital assets, electronic wills, and estate planning since 2019.
