Tax Reform and Section 199A Deduction of Qualified Business Income of Pass-through Entities
This program will address the new Section 199A, Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction. Participants will learn not only about the technical aspects of calculating the deduction, but also how it impacts different types of business entities and the business owner’s decision on choosing the proper business entity to take advantage of the deduction. The session will also look at issues and questions surrounding the QBI deduction and guidance that is still needed from Congress and the IRS.
Jordon N. Rosen, CPA, MST, AEP® is a Director and shareholder in the Wilmington, Delaware CPA firm of Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, where he heads the firm’s estate and trust section. He is the past president of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) and has served as president of the Delaware Estate Planning Council and the Chester County, PA EPC. Mr. Rosen also serves as a member of the AICPA Tax Reform Resource Task Force and is a past member of the AICPA Technical Resource Panel on Trust, Estate and Gift Taxes. Mr. Rosen is a national speaker on many tax related issues and has published more than 100 articles both locally and nationally.
